Nancy Goudie heads up the creative and innovative charity NGM. She was born in Ayr, Scotland, where at the age of six she had a very powerful, supernatural and dramatic experience of God. She grew up in a musical family and in her teens was part of a well-established band called Unity which was founded by her husband Ray and his brother, Derek. As well as singing with the band she also put her qualifications in speech (ALCM) to good use by being one of the narrators in the musicals that Unity produced. Nancy had many opportunities to gain experience in the media when Unity appeared on many television and radio shows and in fact had their own show called ‘Unity Sings’.

In 1980, Ray and Nancy moved to England after a clear call to full time Christian work. They founded and led the internationally known band, Heartbeat. As one of the singers and main speakers, Nancy travelled extensively throughout Britain and abroad seeing peoples’ lives transformed by the message they carried. During the 80’s, Ray and Nancy changed the name of the overall work to NGM (New Generation Music) with Heartbeat being one of the bands under the umbrella of NGM. Throughout the 80’s they saw thousands saved and healed through the love and power of God. When Heartbeat finished in 1991, NGM continued and throughout the years NGM have trained thousands of young people in the arts and discipleship and given them a vision of reaching their full potential in God whether in the mainstream or the church. They taught everyone who joined NGM how to live by faith and depend on God for all their finances, both individually and corporately. They are based in Thornbury, Bristol, UK, and have an amazing God given £3 million music and arts complex where all their work, rehearsals and training takes place.

Nancy has written twenty books, Developing Spiritual Wholeness (1992); Nancy Goudie’s Spiritual Health Plan (1995); Nancy Goudie’s Spiritual Health Workout (2001); 50 Creative Worship Ideas (2002); Hot Faith (2004); Luv Esther (2006); Treasures of Darkness (2008); The Beloved (2009); Confident? (2010); You are Special (2011); Oasis of Hope (2012); Oasis of Delight (2013), The Gift of Laughter (2014), Spiritual Health Encounters (2016), Our Greatest Adventure (2018), Who Would Ever Have Thought (2020) and You Are Beautiful (2022), You are Loved (2023), You Are Amazing (2025) as well as writing many articles for magazines and newspapers. She has also for many years written and produced her own yearly magazine called Spiritual Health. She has recorded five meditation CD’s, three of which are still available: Peace Like a River, Smile and Meditations For The Beloved. Her most recent CD’s called Speak & Speak Volume 2 help you to read, believe and confess Biblical truth. Nancy is regularly on radio and television TBN, GOD TV etc.

Nancy has also pioneered unique and creative conferences called Nancy Goudie’s Spiritual Health Weekends, which are extremely popular and are often sold out weeks before the event. Hundreds of women from the UK and beyond attend these conferences each year and testify to this being an incredible life-changing event for them. They are currently held in the Cotswolds.

Nancy has the privilege of speaking at churches and events all over the world. She is perfectly at home in speaking at small gatherings or in large events.

Nancy was married to Ray for 43 years up to his death in 2016. They had two sons, Daniel and Aidan. Daniel works in the mainstream music industry and currently lives in California. He and his wife, Veronica got married in December 2018. Aidan was married in November 2016. He and his wife Leanne met and got married whilst they were both in NGM. Aidan works as a fitness coach as well as production assistant in NGM and Leanne continues to be a singer/songwriter/worship leader/tutor and author at NGM.
