6th June 2016: ingm Interns Mission Trip

A number of our interns have just returned from a 2 week mission trip to the Iris Ministries base at Zimpeto Children’s Centre in Mozambique and we can’t wait to hear the stories of what God has done in and through them.  The mission trip is always a highlight of the interns year and is a life changing experience, just to be there and be available for God to use them.  We’ve had close links with Iris (founded by Rolland and Heidi Baker) for a number of years and have had the privilege of sending numerous teams out to help with their incredible work.

The Zimpeto Children’s Centre is home to around 300 children, 30 missionaries and 150 full and part-time staff.  The base not only serves the needs of the children in its care, but also ministers to the poorest people in the surrounding areas.  In the west, we’re only hearing occasional reports of the famine that is gripping many parts of Africa, but I know that it’s affecting much of Mozambique, so our guys are likely to have seen the results first hand.
