9th September 2014: South African Trip Update

Zoe and I recently had the privilege of travelling to Johannesburg, South Africa, where I was a speaker at a large women’s conference.  What an amazing opportunity to minister to approximately 2,000 ladies and to see them respond to the Lord, it was so encouraging!  God moved in many lives and I have received lots of messages since getting home, telling me what God has done and continues to do.

I also spoke at the Acts Christian Church (around 5000 strong) on Sunday morning, during both of their morning services, including one which is streamed.  What a joy it was to see many respond to what the Lord was saying.  It was a particular joy to me to work at that church as two of leadership there were not only incredibly kind people, but were also related (great granddaughter and great, great grandson) to the man who has always greatly influenced my life – Smith Wigglesworth!

While in Johannesburg, we were also able to visit Sparrow’s Nest - an orphanage particularly set up for those living with HIV.  For many years, we have sent NGM teams over there during the summer to help, but I’d never personally had the opportunity to visit myself.  Ray had visited a number of years ago.  What a joy it was to not only meet the pre-school children but also to meet the visionary behind it - Corinne.   What a wonderful lady!
