9th June 2014: ingm

It’s a really exciting time of year, as we continue to hold audition days for our ingm Internship Programme (Christian arts training programme).  It’s amazing to see and hear the talented young people perform and to find more about their stories and their passion to develop in their art form and their faith.  We have already accepted a number on to the next year (starting October) and I’m getting excited about working with them.

The whole concept of ingm is so exciting, with the mix of teaching and opportunities for them to perform and put into practice what they’ve learnt.  We are already talking to various Churches who we can work with and support through ingm.  Some of the interns will also have opportunities to travel with me as I speak, not just to watch, but to get involved either singing, playing, giving testimonies or providing technical support.

Even more exciting, is that we feel that ingm is not just a gap year for those finishing school/college before getting a proper job.  It’s for those who feel a call to work within the arts and entertainment industry or perhaps as worship leaders within the church.  This was why we took the decision to not just to take teenagers, but to open it up to people aged 17-35.
